Pastificio Fratelli Setaro Bucatini is an artisan long pasta from Torre Annunziata, near Naples, produced using traditional bronze-die extrusion and slow, low-temperature drying. Made from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina and water, it has the signature Setaro rustic texture—slightly rough, porous, and designed to grip sauces exceptionally well.

“Bucatini” are thick spaghetti-like strands with a hollow centre running through each piece. This defining feature allows the pasta to capture sauce both on the outside and inside the tube, creating a more intense, layered flavour in every bite.

Setaro Bucatini has a firm, springy bite with a pronounced al dente structure. The surface is intentionally rough, which helps sauces adhere, while the hollow centre allows richer sauces to flow through the pasta itself.

The flavour is clean and wheat-forward, with a slightly nutty depth typical of high-quality durum wheat pasta. Compared to standard supermarket bucatini, Setaro’s version is denser and more textured, giving a more “restaurant-style” eating experience.
